Wow, so the whole thing is in one place?
Yes! It’s a big space and the most convenient option, since Ellis built it, is the manager, and goes there all the time.
We will ask for some audience participation to help turn over the space after the ceremony so we can make more space for fun & dancing during the reception & afterparty. Many hands make light work!
What’s the timing of the wedding day?
It’s at the top of this page!
Are kids invited?
Yes! We’re so excited to see our best baby friends at the wedding.
Let us know in your RSVP if there are any special accommodations you need.
Kids can wear anything they’re comfortable with.
We’ll have some kid-friendly games, but you’re welcome to bring things that you know will keep our little friends calm and happy during all the excitement.
Don’t forget to BYO-Sippy Cup!
Can we bring the dog?
Nope, sorry. Too many people are allergic to dogs.
What is the dress code?
Think brunch! Smart casual, comfortable, colorful, floral
Are there any other wedding events during the weekend?
Friday: we’ll be setting up the venue during the day. Maybe we’ll go to a bar afterwards but we will not be staying out late.
Sunday: We’re planning to go to Central Park Zoo! Our rain alt is The Met.
How do I RSVP?
RSVP’s are open and due by July 4. CLICK HERE!
If you have trouble with online forms, let us know and we’ll schedule a time to walk through the questions with you.
When is the RSVP Deadline?
Please submit your rsvp by June 1st. If you’re truly not sure whether you’ll be able to attend until after this date, let us know on your rsvp. We’d rather overestimate than under-buy!
Which airport should I fly into?
LGA is a little closer to the venue than JFK, but it really depends on you and your plans for the weekend.
Where should we stay overnight?
We have not been able to secure block pricing but,
If you’re taking the train, anywhere along the L train should be very convenient (Williambsurg in Brooklyn or 14th street in Manhattan).
This is where Luke & Ellis will be staying Saturday and Sunday night: The Hotel Elysee
This is the closest hotel to the venue: The Bogart by LuxUrban
There are literally hundreds of hotels in NYC. Choose the one that works best for you and your group.
Please consider regular travel times to venue:
Downtown Brooklyn: 35-45min by car, or 45-60min-1hr by train
Astoria Queens: 30-40min by car, or 45-60min by train
Times Square: 25-60min by car, or 40-45min by train
Long Island: .5-2hrs by car
A note about Airbnb: this is a hot button issue in NY right now. Some hefty restrictions have been placed on short term rentals in NY making it difficult for hosts to qualify to register their homes, so there aren’t very many places available in Brooklyn. If you really want an AirBnB and will have a car, Long Island has more options.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at a hotel?
We wish there was a hotel where everyone could stay at a reasonable rate, but because of other surrounding events happening in NYC, it’s looking like we will need to split up into clusters.
Will there be a shuttle to the venue?
We have great public transportation throughout the city. You are in charge of getting yourself to and from the venue.
What should we do while we’re in town?
Anything you want! It’s New York, baby!
Are we allowed to take photos at your wedding?
Yes! Please be aware that you’re not blocking others’ view of the event. Let us know on your RSVP if you’re a phone photographer and we’ll try to be strategic about the seating arrangements.
Can we post wedding photos on social media?
Sure! Please use the hashtag #Robstein24
Will you be live streaming your wedding?
We’re considering videography, but we likely won’t have the staff or resources to run a livestream.
Where will wedding updates be posted?
We’ll update this website as details get confirmed. If you’d like to receive updates directly, please sign up for our email list.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Most people on our list are couples or families. If you’re an uncoupled individual, you are welcome to bring a friend, just let us know on your rsvp.
What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
Please include your dietary restrictions in your RSVP.
Will there be an open bar?
There will be a limited open bar. Think wine, beer, and brunch drinks.
Where are you registered?
We are fortunate enough to have just about all the material goods that we need. We greatly appreciate contributions to our life together in the form of cash or checks made out to Lucas Reibstein.
We also have a registry on Amazon with a few cute things for our home: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/robstein24
Will either of you be changing your name?
Ellis is extremely excited to take the Reibstein surname!
I don’t see my question here.
Let us know! Other people may have the same question, so we’re happy to add more to this list. Best to reach out to Ellis at goforellis@gmail.com or (703) 740-6734.
